Why Choose Petrolia Optometry?
Situated in the heart of the county, we are conveniently located for all residents living in Lambton County communities and beyond.
We welcome patients of all ages and all abilities to our office. We are fully wheelchair accessible and equipped to examine infants and non-verbal patients. We offer out-of-office visits in Petrolia for patients that are not able to travel from care facilities.
We work very closely with local family practitioners, the Central Lambton Family Health Team and the CEE Hospital emergency room with whom we have established relationships and routines of reporting for certain conditions. We are a trusted resource for local eye emergency cases, able to diagnose and treat in a timely and efficient manner.
We have an in-office eyeglass finishing lab. Therefore, we are able to edge in-stock and ordered-in lenses into frames in less than one hour, including semi-rimless frames and new lenses into patient’s own frames.
We carry a wide range of designer eyeglass frames and lenses priced to fit any budget. We also offer eyeglass packages, eyewear promotions and orders through National Health and Welfare, Ontario Disability Support Program, Ontario Works, Veteran’s Affairs, Occupational Vision Plan and Children’s Aid Society. We carry sports specific options, specialty products and non-contract safety glasses.
Within our office we have a Sunglass Cove sunglass boutique featuring Oakley and Maui Jim sunglasses as well as Nike, Ray-Ban, Bebe, Kate Spade and more. Our extensive collection of quality sunglasses is a reflection of how passionate we are about promoting UV protection for the eyes.
We are an Eye See…Eye Learn Program office with the Ontario Association of Optometrists, of which Dr. St. Pierre is the Area Lead for Sarnia-Lambton/Chatham-Kent. Any Junior Kindergarten student that receives a comprehensive eye exam at our office and requires an eye glass prescription can get eye glasses through the ESEL Program at our office at no charge to the patient. We are one of only 4 offices in Lambton and Kent County offering this service and the only one in Petrolia to do so.
We have extremely experienced staff. Our staff enjoys getting to know all of our patients personally and making their experience at Petrolia Optometry enjoyable and individualized to their needs.
We are a member of Eye Recommend which is a network of independent optometrists that shares the same commitment to total eye health. Eye Recommend places emphasis on practice excellence, education and new technologies.
We are extremely dedicated to volunteer initiatives in our community and beyond. Dr. St. Pierre volunteers her time teaching the eye health portion of the Diabetes 101 course at the Central Lambton Family Health Team. Our charity of choice is Optometry Giving Sight.
